That was the busiest fun dog show ever! And I am handing over to Andy Collins to guest blog for me on the Hampshire Game and Country Show!
A really busy show at Hampshire Country Show this weekend to the point of having a full class of jr handlers for the first class on Monday in all there were 10 full classes on this day and the winner was a gorgeous spaniel called Bobby . Sunday’s winner was a rather handsome Basset Hound called Boris.
We also had two new members of the Gillies Leap team this weekend in the form of my grand daughter Rosie five and a half months and her mum Chantelle my youngest son Sonnys Fiancee, we also had my eldest son Ash with us too. Ash entertained us when the show was finished with some fire poi spinning with our resident jester Fiery Jack who was juggling fire clubs
We were supporting a local pub, the Bird in Hand Gosport Road Fareham charity day where we donated £300 to the day held in March where they raised in excess of a £1000 pound for Breast Cancer and The Rainbow Centre in Fareham Hants. This centre is a specialist unit for disabled children.
As Monday was Star Wars day (may the fourth be with you) in the most handsome dog class any dog that looked like an ewok or a wookie or had a name related to star wars received a special rosette
Now looking forward to Burghley at Whitsun hope to see our friends from past shows there, and hopefully some new ones too.
