If you’re around the Derby area this weekend, don’t miss the Living Heritage Country Fair at Kedleston Hall!
Living Heritage do Country fairs all over the country during the Spring/Summer months, and this is the first time they have come to Kedleston Hall. I’ve been to a number of their events and thoroughly enjoyed them every time. they have something for absolutely everyone: from shooting to lurcher racing, craft tents, food tents, chain saw carving, birds of prey, ferret racing, children’s entertainment, fishing… you name it, it’s there!
The main arena has an ongoing programme of displays and events during the day, and aside of that there are a number of smaller rings in the different areas.
And to top it all there is a whole designated ‘Dog Zone‘! There you have a fun dog show (with the more traditional classes such as Best Puppy, right through to the fun ‘best biscuit eater); fantastic gun dog displays with Howard Kirby and his team from Mullenscote; terrier racing, lurchers, scurries and much more. And this year, our very own local Dog Agility club – Blackshaw Dog Agility will be there, doing agility demonstrations as well as giving you the chance to try your dog out on the agility equipment.
I’ll be there in the dog zone area all weekend, helping with the agility, watching the gun dogs and taking hundreds of photos. So if you want a photo of your dog this weekend, there’ll be no session fees – I’ll be taking photos for anyone who wants one and putting them on the website if you want to choose and buy later. (I’ll be somewhere around the agility tent – probably in a red sweatshirt unless it’s really cold!!)
Don’t miss the Kedleston Hall Living Heritage Country Fair – an absolutely brilliant event.
See you there!?
